Are we signing a complete Praet?

Is the Lambert policy of only signing players that are likely to get ID'd in pubs continuing?

The latest baby-faced assassin to be linked with Aston Villa - albeit in unsubstantiated tweets and Facebook postings - is Belgian wunderkid Dennis Praet.

Young Dennis, who only turned 19 years of age last week, is another attacking midfielder, who despite his youth has started to make an impact in the Juliper Pro League and even clocked up a few appearances in the Champions League.

Even though these are very early days for the young starlet, it is thought that he could already command a £4 million transfer fee and rumours are that he has already rebuffed offers from other Premier League clubs, preferring to challenge for a first team place at Anderlecht than play in the Barclays Premier Under 21 League.

However, Lambert's reputation for giving youth a chance and his mission to cream off the best of Europe's emerging talent while other coaches are still slapping on the sun-cream and eating Mr Whippy's with a flake in may attract the highly rated teenager.

Meanwhile Danish media are reporting that the Helenius deal is all but done with the player's medical due to take place today.
